  7. Comprehensive menu-driven Filesystem Navigator that allows repair or patching
  8. of a damaged file system that ``fsck'' cannot fix. It can locate and
  9. repair/reconstruct a damaged superblock or damaged inode table. The file system
  10. can be made mountable so that critical, otherwise unrecoverable data can be
  11. recovered. The Navigator compliments the ``fsck'' utility and is far more
  12. powerful than ``fsdb.'

  14. Features include the modification of all superblock and inode data, ability to
  15. enlarge the size of the lost+found directory, scanning the hard disk for
  16. orphaned directories, and viewing any block on the hard disk. The superblock
  17. can be reconstructed if wiped out. Inodes if missing can be reconstructed. The
  18. navigator can locate critical directories such as ``/usr'' in the directory
  19. search mode. This can be used on a floppy disk file system as a teaching tool
  20. to gain first hand experience with the XENIX/UNIX file system. This package is
  21. available for many filesystem types, including XENIX, UNIX V, and the Acer Fast
  22. File System.
